Basket type Strainer is an indispensable device to transmit medium
in pipeline. Basket Strainer is normally installed on the inlet
port of pressure reducing valve, relief valve or other devices to
purify the medium and thus to ensure the normal function of valves
or equipment. Strainer has the features of advanced structure,
small flowing resistance, easy to drain and etc. The strainer could
be used for medium of water, oil, gas. Body material could be
chosen according to clients' need and stainless steel material for
inner parts. When this strainer needs to be cleaned, just takes out
the removable filter cartridge and clean it which makes it very
easy to maintain strainer.

- The Nominal Diameter of Strainer: Pricipally the DN of strainer
should not be smaller than the inlet size of matched pump, and
usually they have the same diameter.Strainer(Generally flanged
connection) is suitable for using on various kinds of pipeline from
Class150 To Class600, PN16 To PN100 to purify the medium in
pipeline. By using different material, the valves could be suitable
for medium such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid,
oxidizing substance, carbamide and etc.
- Nominal Pressure: The PN could be decided by the potential highest
working pressure.
- Mesh size: The mesh size should be decided by the size of
impurities which needs to be purified.
- Material of strainer: Most of the time the material is the same
with the pipe that strainer is connected to. It could be cast iron,
carbon steel , low alloy steel or stainless steel as needed.
